Would you go under the knife?

As I stand in the mirror, and peer an eye at my assets, I begin to focus on all my body hang-up's. Who doesn't? unless of course, your Beyonce or Kim Kardashian.

They say confidence grows with age, only the vast majority of us girls couldn't disagree more with this supposed statistic.

I woke up yesterday to find a humungous spot in the centre of my forehead. It couldn't have come at a better time - I only had a magazine launch party to attend that afternoon. What a detriment this spot would be to my outfit; everyone staring directly at this large pink circle above my eyes, as it isn't exactly easy to avoid. Even if they were polite and decided to stare from the corner of their eyes, it would be an embarrassment, I thought.

But I swallowed my pride and attended the shin dig - the reaction to my zit wasn't half bad. But it didn't change the way I felt about it; Maybe a bit of Botox wouldn't go a miss?

It seems that with age, comes acne, stress spots and cellulite. So I find it obscene than we are meant to count our lucky stars for a whirlwind of middle-aged confidence.

The average women spends countless hours in front of the mirror finding faults with her appearance. Many of us can spot a growth spur of cellulite in a matter of milliseconds. It is for this reason that women had 90% of all cosmetic procedures in 2010, with breast argumentation up by 10.3%

Women are know longer wanting to spend years loathing their bodies, (and why should they?) instead they are saving up to correct their body mishaps before low-self esteem drags them into serial depression. All due respect to them. These women have guts and a few of us should try growing some.

In this modern day, we shouldn't be looking down our noses at those who decide to go under the knife. When you come to think of it, those that do are probably doing what we don't have the balls to do.

So what I ask is this: would you go under the knife if you had the bank account of Angelina Jolie? This is the question I have been asking the majority of my girlfriends lately.

If buying a boob job was like buying a cube of cheese, would you pay that sum of money to prevent gravity from having it's way with your boobs? I know I sure would.

The point i'm trying to make is this: Why not do what makes you happy? Instead of worrying about what the world regards as taboo, do what is right for you. If you desire a nip tuck; if you can afford the surgery, and as long as you research the procedure and the risks, Why shouldn't you go under the knife?

Would you go under the knife?

So what if your a wag?

The revolutionary war saw many women enter the workplace. This revolution saw the birth of the career women; the young girls desperately seeking independence and ready to fly the nest which had previously subdued them.

The housewife role was in decline and the female breadwinner epidemic had plummeted fourfold. It took masses of time for us women to gain such respect and responsibility.

From the blissful chants of the suffragists to the inhuman, abusive behaviour of the suffragettes, fighting for women's rights proved a difficult and disastrous time. We were subordinated by the men of our society and probed towards mundane duties i.e. cooking, cleaning and motherhood.

You would have thought that after all the misery and endless yearns for equality women voiced for so many years, we'd be doing anything and everything in our power to highlight our capabilities. Yet it seems, the WAG's of today are making a mockery out of our hard earned respect.

Wags like, Abbey Clancy and Alex Gerrard are teaching girls how to live off their husbands and subordinate themselves in the same way that pre-revolution set out for us to do so many years ago.

Marrying a footballer and having his babies is idolised by the media as being the best way to step up the career ladder.

Over the years, we have witnessed the female subordinates who think that their wag status elevates them to a higher realm on the wealth hierarchy, when all it is doing is demolorising them and chipping away at the stepping stones toward female equality, we built over a decade ago. It's ludicrous.

These days, you become a wag and BOOM, your perfume is flying off the shelves of every major retailer, you've created your own fashion line and your now on the campaigns of every major beauty chain in the world.

It's at this point in life when we have to ask ourselves; is this really what we fought for those many years ago?
By conforming to this way of life, aren't we just allowing ourselves to take back seat and let the men take centrefold?

Where have all our ambitious women gone? Where are our passionate equal right women? where have they gone? Are we going to allow these fame hungry goldiggers to set us back, when we have achieved so much already?

I for one, am not going to sit back and let my kids be brainwashed by the shallow, peanut-brained women of our society.

Let us bring back the women who crave the careers. Support each others ambitions and remain the proud professionals that so many of us women are today. In a world which is always due to dominate the men and subordinate the women, us girls really have to stick together!

Fair-well spring/summer 11

Each summer, the world of fashion has a mid-year crisis. Our wardrobes suddenly become less fashionable and the couture shows slightly predictable.

The colour blocking trend and 70's revival of this spring/summer seems to have been the most repetitive trends on many of the couture shows.

As I button my belt in the car and tune into vogue TV on my IPad, I expect to see the same thing from every designer. it's either the maxi dress, playsuit, or denim. Don't get me wrong, I love all the clothes listed, but I like to be experimental with fashion and wearing lots of it. Summer is all about wearing less clothes and undeniably, that means less fashion.

From Gucci, to Diane Von Furtenburg, every couture show had a herd of models dripping in a hue of bright coloured clothing that was more or less the same thing.

As I rummaged through my wardrobe this summer, my options were either a floor-sweeping maxi or floral playsuit. Is this really exciting? Am i really wearing a statement outfit, or am I wearing the clothes that have been chosen for me?

I am not saying that I don't love a maxi, (who doesn't?) but in a city which is homed some of the most influential designers, (Stella McCartney is a huge fashion muse along with Jimmy Choo, who studied at London College of Fashion), should we really be opting to wear just the one maxi? Is it right that we limit ourselves to this one statement dress? it's not exactly breaking the grounds of fashion.

I loathe the fact that we are having to conform to a certain way of dress. And each summer, the clothes us girls have to put on our backs is merely a repeat of what another girl wore out the night before.

So i couldn't be happier that we are approaching autumn/winter 11 and waving good bye to the  intolerable maxi and everlasting floral print. The trends for this coming season are beaming with colour, sensuality and thankfully, unpredictability. The late photographer Helmut Newton is somewhat the godfather of this coming season; his photographs which represented the power of sexuality and nudity are having great influence on the couture shows. From Gucci, to Louis Vuitton, designers seem to be channelling the 'sexy' trend.

Designers are playing with fashion and taking inspiration from wildlife and the orients. Stella McCartney is channelling peak-a-boo type dresses with polka-dot sheer panelling. Her dresses are tight and accentuates the female body. Celine and respected duo Dolce and Gabbana are channelling sexy androgyny; the girls are borrowing from the boys and ditching their trusty body con dresses for tailored trousers and bow ties in an array of neutral  colours.

So as we kiss goodbye to our summer garments for another year, and greet our autumn/winter gear with open arms, I say fair well to predictability and hello fashion!

Kate Moss says "I Do"

Kate Moss and Jamie Hince tied the not in a vintage style 30's celebration earlier on this afternoon.

The newleyweds proceeded with their nuptials at St Peter's Church in Little Faringdon in the Cotwolds where they were joined by 15 bridesmaids, including, eight-year-old daughter Lila Grace.

Kate Moss wore a dress designed by Haute Couture designer and close pal, John Galliano. Kate's choice of designer came as a reprieve to Galliano who is currently on trial for allegedly making anti-semitic remarks.

Galliano said one of the key parts of the dress was "a beautiful rosary, which I thought must have been from a fallen angel"

A bit of fetish for Kelly Rowland

There is no denying the fact that Kelly Rowland is on a career high. Her latest stint on the judging panel of the X-factor is proving her to be a fathomable musical muse.

The former Destiny Child band member will be on our screens this August alongside, Gary Barlow, Tulisa contostavlos and Louis Walsh for the latest series of the X-factor.

Pictured above in Victoria Beckham, the pop princess is sporting the colour blocking trend to perfection.

So while some of you may be interested in the vocal talent from the constestants this year; and the judges mentoring skills in hopes of finding the next breakthrough act, most of us are hoping to witness the fashion rivalry between the two latest 'gal pals'.

For the last two years, we have had the joy of watching Cheryl Cole and Danni Minogue fight it out on the best dressed hierarchy, but Kelly and Tulisa are the new 'it' girls. And by the looks of things, Ms Rowland is taking no prisoners.

Kelly is rocking this seasons trends oh-so-well and is making a huge staple for herself in the world of fashion.

The "Motivation" singer is in the best shape ever and it's been all down to hardcore cardio and self-motivation. Her hard work and efforts have been for her own self-confidence and she hasn't been tied down in a relationship to get in the way of her latest successes.

In a recent interview with sunday Mirror, the 30-year-old singer, admitted: "I'm single but i've got a friend with benefits," showing she is more of the alpha female. As it happens, her endless legs and enviable curves should not be tied down to just one man, surely?

X-factor will be on our screens late August where you can catch the fierce Ms Rowland in her best garments.

Floral Maxi

Dress: Miss Selfridges Sandals: Bullfrogs

Summer 2011 stands for the return of the maxi dress. The maxi dates back to centuries ago, only modern fashion celebrates it more so now than ever before. With all the denim shorts, chiffon dresses and pretty playsuits taking centre stage in several of the high-street stores, one would think that the maxi dress would be a thing of the past. Well we have to bow to the understated look of the maxi and long lasting impact it has had on today's fashion. To add to it's versatility, it seems you know longer have to be of supermodel height to wear the maxi. Women of under 5'3 are sporting the maxi trend and if you ask me, it is a breathe of fresh air. How can one deny an average sized women the chance to wear something so elegant and effortlessly chic. They say the maxi is more flattering on the slim, tall women...in the world of catwalk. But if you ask me, it's all about the person who's wearing it; how they wear it and more importantly, how much confidence they bring with them.

I decided to wear my flat sandals today as I felt  the maxi was a statement piece in itself. Let the maxi do the talking. My love for the chic bun lives on especially when wearing such a statement piece. My lipstick is a change too; it's a red rouge colour from Sleek.

This pictures were taken in Richmond today, beside the river. What a beautiful hot and sunny day. :)

Please feel free to comment beauties.

Chic summers day

Dress: Primark Wedges: Next Earings: River Island

The long glamourous 16ich locks that have become a hair trend of late is being overshadowed by sophisticated up do's and and chic buns. I for one, have become an up-do fanatic as I feel that it gives us women a more polished and sophisticated look; one which has a retro spin to it. Apprentice finalist Helen Milligan and stylist to the stars, Grace Woodward have come as some healthy inspiration to my look of late. Woodward, who is currently a judge for Britain and Irelands Next Top Model took her seat on the judging panel with an up-do so chic and graceful that it caught my eyes like a beaming light of infra-red. I decided to wear my new hairstyle proud, along with a chic summery dress and some 5ich platform brown wedges. It's not often that I am spotted wearing earings, especially as humongous as these but I felt the gold River Island ear jewellery severely complemented my hair do and my overall outfit.

I hope you are all having a fabulous summer. These last few days have been warm and sunny :) It's a nice change from the disappointing start we had to summer here in England.

Please feel free to comment on my outfit and style choices today beauties x

Mizani hair treatment

For many of us girls, it is a pain trying to find the right hair products that will do our hair real justice. Whether you are tired of dry and frizzy looking hair or trying to fight the flakes in your scalp hours after a good old wash, i'm sure we can all agree that hair is more often than not, a set-back. Let's face it hair is a massive part of our look and if your hair looks bad, you are bound to feel awful. Well, we needn't worry anymore, as my research into beauty products of the moment led me to the trusty Mizani Supreme oil.

If your hair is naturally quite dry and course then Mizani Supreme Oil is the resolution to your problems. Mizani oil helps to tame frizz and keep your hair soft and well conditioned. The supreme oil restores natural liquids, leaving any hair type silky, soft and beautifully moisturised. the ingredients are filled with natural oils and Vitamin E. The product contains 8 pure oils and is 99% naturally derived. Although, the oil works wonders for any hair type, it is a extra bonus for those with naturally dry or course hair, like me. The cost of the oil is 17.99 a bottle.

I have been using the oil for just over a week now, and I am stunned by the results. My hair is looking extremely healthy at the moment and has managed to maintain a healthy glow and shine.

The Mizani shampoo and conditioner is a must have product. Needless to stay, there is the beauty of having both a shampoo and conditioner all in one. What's even more rewarding is that the conditioning shampoo leaves your hair with a nice scent and promising texture. At 13.99 a bottle, it is your money worth spent.

Beyonce Knowles, Alexander Burke and Tyra Banks are just some of the celebrities who are known for using these products. It is a must-have; especially for the summer when our hair is likely to dry out and become easily effected by the heat.

Abusive relationships takes it toll on teenagers

Like Vivienne Otto, women 16 to 24 years old are most at risk of suffering abuse at the hands of a lover. Would you know the signs?

By Sakaynah Hunter

When Vivienne Otto told her childhood sweetheart that their relationship was not working out, she never expected he’d act the way he did. Ms Otto was led to overdose on painkillers to escape the trauma. They were heading back from Vivienne’s parents’ house in London, Streatham as she talked about their future and he instantly became enraged.

He started shouting, called her a slut and a whore, and started speeding to dangerous lengths. Vivienne said: “I thought I might have actually died, it was horrible, I told him to slow down it just made him angrier.” Just 17 years old at the time, Vivienne did not now what to think – a feeling she had for the next two years. Still, the fog of teenage love veiled the red flags.

"I knew that wasn't right. That kind of behaviour is not okay, but I didn't know how to handle it," says Vivienne, who is now 19

As she got in deeper with her boyfriend, more disturbing behaviour cropped up. After an argument in her fresher year at Roehampton University, he punched and kicked the door of dorms until the glass fell through. The resident security on her floor soon summoned her for a meeting to discuss the incident.

"When we did schedule a time to talk, he insisted on being there," says Vivienne. "This was supposed to be a conversation between the RS and myself, and he dominated the entire thing." He manipulated the meeting and was beginning to control other aspects of Vivienne’s life. She stopped hanging out with her male friends because he didn't want her getting attention from other men, and she became estranged from her best friend Dominique because he didn't get along with her, either.

All of these were warning signs of what would become an abusive relationship, but Vivienne was too inexperienced with love to pick up on any of them. Women 16 to 24 years old are most at risk for domestic violence, according to U.K. legal system. Just in the last 18 months, 32 percent of teens reported emotional abuse or physical violence in a relationship.

"While love is a real powerful barrier and has a huge impact on people at any age, for young people, it's very new," says Michelle Deacon, freelance writer for abusive relationships. “They don't have a lot of experience with relationships, and they don't have the framework to say that they're going to do better."

Vivienne endured name-calling and insults from her boyfriend — but avoided talking to her family and friends about it because she was embarrassed and ashamed. "I was a strong person, and I just became very insecure as a result of him talking about me and calling me names," says Vivienne. "So I cared even more about what people saw."

On top of a lack of perspective on her relationship, not having the resources to identify her situation fuelled the fire. "People just ended up turning their backs on me instead of reaching out because it was something many people don't understand. And there weren't a lot of resources on campus about that. University of Roehampton accounts for 8,535 students — and the awareness isn't really there."

When Vivienne’s third year rolled around, her boyfriend talked her into moving in together. The first night they were in their new apartment was also the first night he struck her. He was angry over some trivial argument, and he pushed her to the ground and started to punch her. "You don't want to believe that that person doesn't love you, that they want to hurt you," she says. "You always remember the good times when you're going through it."

He continued to hit her the rest of the semester. Isolated from her friends and family, Vivienne felt so hopeless she started to think ending her life was the only way out. Visit: www.thisisabuse.direct.gov.uk/ for help and advice.

Victoria Beckham A/W11 Collection Fetish

It’s all come together for Victoria Beckham this year. Her look, her label, the marriage, the LA social life, even David’s hair is having a moment. This time Last year she was still in the try hard camp. But now let’s bow to her understated chic – little goat dress, classic pumps, loose hair caught in a clip – it’s the look of a confident woman.

Beckham was hardly our initial line – up on the long list of budding fashion designers. It was not so long ago that her dreams of becoming the fashion player were frowned upon by many. Could she really be taken as a serious fashion designer?

After years in the closet, her designs are stealing the show at New York Fashion Week - she has taken the negative press in her stride and engraved her footprint on the fashion sphere.
She has a handsome world-class athlete for a husband, three gorgeous sons and another child on the way. Oh, and did we mention she can make a mean dress too?

Surely we all gave up counting how many Hermes bags Victoria owns years ago. Whatever she wore, whatever she was doing, one could almost guarantee she would be ‘with Birkin’. Then came the news that VB was going to design her own line, and the fashion world couldn’t wait. What could the women with the most-envied bag wardrobe make for herself? Something showy and dazzling like her Harrods collection perhaps? Wrong!

As we all tuned in to New York Fashion week on Vogue T.V, one can only assume that the vast majority of us were crying tears of joy-like our infertile girl pal had just given birth to a baby boy. Her designs thus far have been mostly form-fitting sheaths, made for diminutive gals like Beckham herself, but she’s had a change of heart.

Beckham’s collection for spring/summer 2011 is a move away from the figure-hugging dresses that became favorites with the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow and Cameron Diaz. The collection – featuring a hue of rainbow brights – is certainly looser and less confined than her previous efforts, but she has still maintained a confident sense of implicity, and an artful eye for colour, (hello, earth mother).

Her collection also treats the eye to a trapeze dress proving the designer was good for her word. She followed that with a dress compromise of a loosely draped long-sleeve top that fell taut at the hips and gushed a hand-pleated skirt, which hit just above the ground. The restraint she exhibited in terms of design shows a maturity that exudes good taste and refinement.

And her exceeding efforts live on. VB has upped the ante by designing her own fabulous handbag range. The collection, hitting net-a-porter, Selfridges and Harrods is sleek, elegant and understated just like her look of late. The transformation from the pop star to fashionista is complete. Mrs. Beckham, we salute you.

Beauty Secret

Rimmel soft Kohl eyeliner

There is an easy and inexpensive way to brighten your eyes. The Rimmel white soft Kohl eye pencil is the perfect medicine for smiley, accentuated and bigger eyes. The beauty method works by applying the white kohl pencil to the inner rim of your eyes which results in a defined and dramatic look, especially on darker skin.

Sleek face contour kit

It seems there is a way to achieve defined supermodel cheek bones without surgery. The sleek contour kit comes with a pressed powder and highlighter all in one. When applied, the make - up gives the illusion of more defined cheekbones and an all-in-all air-brushed look. If you prefer the natural look, wear a nude shade lipstick and go for natural eye - make-up. I wear mines with the nude Fashion Fair Lip teaser for a more laid back look. Alternatively, I team the contour kit with my trusty Mac violet lipstick for a party look.

Time to head down to your beauty store and purchase a kit yourself. I can almost guarantee you will adopt a contour addiction!

Gucci Spring/Summer 2011 collection

The runway at milan fashion week was blinding our eyes with block colour. From tangerine to a hue of bright blues - every new collection that took to the stage was bright. bold and eccentric. But Gucci was way up there. Frida Giannini promised sophisticated seduction for her Gucci show - and she didn't fail to astound us with here steady eye for fashion and styling. The collection puts us in the mood for high voltage italian fashion action.

An array of colours were gliding down the runway. Green, turquoise, purple and orange - for grown-up skirts or tapered silk trousers worn with slippery, loosely knotted tops that were belted in stiff metallic gold at the waist had a richness reminiscent of Yves Saint Laurent , though long glossy blazers relieved the Eighties, particularly when combined with drop - crotched harem pants.

Then the colour faded away to a nude set of pale linens, leathers and suedes that were ladylike and luxurious and made us think of safari living.

Gucci is definitely going to be hot this season - and the collection is to die for. I for one, have envisioned my new spring/summer wardrobe as a more brighter, daring, risky and Gucci inspired one. Bring on the debit card I say!!

Are you as crazy about the Gucci Spring/Summer collection as me?

Oh Heavenly Hair!

Babyliss Thermo-Ceramic Rollers
As we gear ourselves up for the summer, it seems a hair trend is evolving. Effortless waves. This spring/summer, hair is big, bold and eccentric. Whether you want to go for sexy waves or fourties waves, it seems either one is likely to give you the statement look. Roll on the summer eh?

Unless you are blessed with naturally wavy locks, it can be a pain to try and create effortless waves. However, I have stumbled across the perfect syling product to do just that. The Babyliss Thermo-Ceramic Roller: it's a clever contraption that heats individual rollers in just a matter of seconds. In the process, the rollers still feel cool, but due to their inner copper core they heat gradually from the inside out as they are placed on your hair.

Luckily for us, that means, no burnt fingers, or hair. After 20 minutes, your hair will be wavy perfection.

Me in action ;)

street style 2

                                                                 Photography by me
We have a bit of fetish for S/S11 and Charlotte seems to have used her inspiration from Haute Couture and embezzled it into street style.

Galliano is just one of the fashion players whose designs have been setting our eyes alight with bold brights, graphic prints and frivolous couture. Michael Kors's label - known for it's clean elegance has too been parading down the catwalks. As we watch the fashion shows on Vogue T.V, I can only imagine that we all claw our stomaches, in hope that our gob-smacked expression will not make us look like more of the homebound dog than the fashion lover.

So as soon as I saw this outfit, it became apparent to me that Charlotte had deviated away from being a devoted couture girl. Instead, she had brought her own high-street twist to couture. She teams a trusty leather jacket with a faux fur collar, while celebrating the key trend for summer/spring 2011 with her bold printed, safari-detailed blouse.

Charlotte wears her denim hot pants well with opaque tights to dissemble her from showing off too much flesh. She seems to be working several key trends here in just the one outfit.

So while many people have upped the ante by deviating away from the norm and wearing faux fur coats pre spring, (me, haha), others have stayed true to form in the exact way Charlotte has. Her outfit is on trend with a concoction of graphic prints - and she works the 70s trend revival with the wedged open-toe sandals.

Her stachel yet again keeps her fashion forward as it is both stylish and on-trend. The brown colour sits well with her camel wedges and the safari prints on her blouse.

Whether her style choice was thought up subconsciously or not, it appears that the stylista paid specific detail to layers mid getting ready. Her bright spring/Summer has been ravamped with a biker-chick jacket. All-in-all she accentuates the beauty of mixing clothing pieces together which would on any normal occasion fill up two separate shelves. She creates a rebellious outfit which is far from offending.

Street Style 1

These two girls were snapped on my way to uni. The stylish two-some are immensely stylish. what is even more striking is how different but very similar these two looks are. They contrast in the sense that Lizzy (right) creates an undertone feel, a more understated look which pervails effortless style, while  Charlotte(Right) has a similar look, only hers has a stronger feel to it; it's more of a statement look and has a bold embrace to it.

Both girls appear to have quite an edgy style - almost rocker-chick if you like. Their attention to detail is what allows their looks to come off so polished. Lizzy's, fiery red hair for instance, compliments her luggage material, as does her tiger print cool tee. The 10 denier tights and black boots ensures that there is nothing to take away from her strking hair colour and upper body attire. Might I add that her choice of hair colour is a compliment to her rosy, slightly paler skin tone.

Charlotte's satchel is uber stylish, ever since Alexa Chung put her fashion stamp in the world of mulberry, and bacame an inspiration to their satchel designed primitive bags. Her satchel trademark worked wonders. Who knows? Charlotte might be next. Green and brown is always a good match, and the velvet leggings are oh-so-cool. The slighly beige wedges brighten up the darker tones to the outfit and sit well with the sunny weather conditions. I'm loving her burgundy hair too.

In the eyes of a budding fashionista, this is street syle at its best. Look forward to several more style posts in the future.

Thanks for reading my beauties.

Chic, Elegant & Sophisticated

Chic, elegant and sophisticated are the three words that spring to mind. I plan to wear these beauties on a night out with the girls in Soton. The platforms will be worn with the leather dress I purchased from H&M a few days ago; it is a body-con masterpiece. The dress is actually a bandeau and so the lack of sleeves and the figure indulging shape, which has been made possible, due to the static leather is enough to leave a dance room floor contaminated with dribble.

Ahh, but seriously have you seen the shoes? I am damaging my bank account by the second, but as I saw these beauties perched on the shoe display in Bank I just couldn't help myself. The footwear, so eminently beautiful is Kitsh couture and a limited edition, so if you want to bag a pair of these heavenly devils, I suggest you get down to your nearest Bank(as in the shop, just in case you was thinking Halifax, ha) and feel as stunning as I do in couture.

The Capital City

So my trip to London (or shall I say the Big City) has so far been brill. Spending time with family is the best ever - so therepeutic. The trip to London was well overdue. With me being a few 100 miles away in Southampton, my home sickness had begun to grow babies.

As I sat through my lectures on Wednesday Afternoon, I tried to tackle my excitement and my urge to scream 'there's no place like home,' as I knew my Coach would be taking me to London in less then 2 hours.

It had been six whole weeks since i'd seen my family and that was a decade in  'Hunter' Family time. (Hunter being my last name). I felt starved from homelissness and tender-loving-care, which wasn't a great deal of help considering the stress I battle with every day at the sight of that next assignment.

My Journey to London was far from 'the ordinary' (as always). In fact, the highlight of the journey was when the driver congratulated me for remembering to bring my Coach Card, Whippie. Aren't I the lucky one? pshh.

But you don't even know the half of the torment I suffered throughout the most distruptive 2 and a quater hours of my life. My eardrums were abused at the annoyance of having a 'hoodrat' boy (i'm dearly sorry for the derogitory term), accompany me on the journey whilst shouting loud abuse at his soon-to-be-ex-girlfriend. Yes. The pig - head of a boy dumped her via Nokia 5320 an hour into the coach journey.

And just when you thought it couldn't get any worse, he phoned his mate up afterwards to shamefully 'burn' her (curse her) and  blame her McDOnald cravings for her broad shoulders and supposedly chicken arms.

I attempted to use my ITouch as a pleasant distraction for the entire journey - blasting out slow tunes in abundance to my confused heart, however my trusty device passed out on me at the hour, and decided to take a nap. (I shall remember to fully charge next time).

So the journey was coming to an end, I applied a further coat of my M.A.C Violet Lipstick, gave my hair a bit of a revamp by using my hands as a hair dryer. I then prepared myself for the ghastly weather conditions by re-dressing myself in layers of Faux fur.

My trip has consisted of many things. Seeing my family on Wednesday was heartwarming. I gave my grandad the longest hug ever followed by a flow of reassuring hugs amongst my other relatives. Spending time with my cousins was a beauty. It was like old times, we discussed boys as any other young adult does and spoke about their pigish ways over a bag of popcorn, a pot of Hageen-Dasz ice-cream and maltesers. (mmm).

I met up with my best friend (Vivvienee). We had a naughty Burger King and a few drinks.

As you might be able tell from the pic, Vivvienne has miraculously decided to shave half her hair off , and while this hairstyle doesn't usually sit well with me, I think she manages to pull it off quite well. (though, It will take some getting used to).

As her hair is quite short anyway, her half shaven head looks less dramatic. For those who have one side of their hair 16 inches long and the other side clean shaven, I think its a total faux pas, dreadful. So, as in VIvienne's case, the short hair (Keri-Hilson-ish) and the shaven head is refreshing and not so offending.

I met up with an old flame over my stay in London. But I won't reveal all just yet. I will keep you posted.(wink, wink)

I also managed to do a spot of make-up shopping. Check out what I got my mits on:

Mineral Based Eyeshadow Palette (Sleek)

 Face Contour Kit (Sleek)

Eylure Naturalites Ultra Glam Lashes
 Rimmel Kohl Eye Pencil

Black Liquid Eye Liner (Sleek)

Keep an eye out for future posts of me wearing the make-up I just purchased. Its very likely that I will take pictures for you beauties with the make - up on, in order for you to see the transformation.

In the future, I will be doing alot more beauty blogs aswell as fashion. This comes as an extention to my future ambitions. I aspire to write fashion and beauty features for the glossy mags as part-of my career in the journalism industry.

And this is me. Haha. Your very own budding Fashionista

Check out the bag. Gorgeous right?. So chic and feminine. Is it just me or does the bag somewhat resemble a Vivienne Westwood handbag design? This cute luggage material is a weopon against faux pas and armoured with eleqouency. The Gold detail adds to the high-end look of the purse. In my eyes, the overall design and shape of the bag appears to be inspired by Queen designer Vivvienne Westwood. (L-o-v-e). But what do you think lovelies?

Jumper: Warehouse. Faux fur coat: Matalan. Handbag: River Island. Tights: John Lewis.

Until next time my beauties

The Fashion Fringe

I am in the mids of having a hairstyle revamp and I am seriously loving the 'fashion fringe'. I have wanted to sport this look way before It was established as the latest hair trend for this AUTUMN/WINTER 2011-2012. As it has now been established as the beauty hair trend, it gives me even more reason to try it out.

I have had a full fringe before, but I was about 16 and it didn't have the personality and the oomph as it would do now. Back then I was more worried about not cutting my hair too short - and so I ended up with a fringe which extended way beyond the intended forehead (ha).

I am seriously considering this hairstyle, only every time I am about to consult my hairdresser, I decide to go with the style I am most comfortable with; dead long straight hair or long wavy curls (they are my weakness).

Having read my favourite weekly fashion magazine, MORE! last week, I came across the images of Leona Lewis with the Fashion Fringe and I was literally shell shocked; my mouth swung open - I thought she looked absolutely stunning. (her best look so far, surely?)

Lets see if you beauties have the same reaction that I did. Leona Lewis below:

Her padded lip crop-top which she designed herself is gorgeous; so amazing - I've never felt so in love with Leona's style until I saw this image in MORE!. She looks almost like the ultimate pin - up girl eh?

Her poker-straight hair and sexy blunt fringe work oh-so-well for her new image. She has also been seen flashing her midriff at evey opportunity which I admittedly tend to do alot (it looks hot!)

Witnessing how well she has rocked the look has made me want to go for the chop so much more than I ever imagined.

What do you think my beauties, should I go for it?
I would love to hear your opinions.

5 inches taller in Camel Brown

Gilet: Mango. Shirt: H&M. Leather leggings: Topshop. Ankle Boots: River Island. Bangles: Miss Selfriges

I wore this outfit to Uni. I know you are all probably thinking, 'who would dream of wearing 5 inch ankle boots to school,' right? Well, in actual fact, style is something which will never die, and if my Uni uniform happens to look absurd to the rest of the world then so be it. Though, I did decide to have a School uniform revamp and walk at 6'0 tall in these towering beauties, I don't do this everyday; if I did, I would have adopted the feet of a ballerina....

So guys, brave the streets in your style. Be bold, loud, eccentric! Let your style be eternal; If you care too much what other people think, your style may eventually die out (what a travesty that would be).

Until next time my beauties
