A Crush on Balmain

The Beautiful Balmain Deep V Gold Dress
Ahh, I am about to burst; Balmain is truly  my Designer crush at the mo. This dress is enough to send any girl loony, surely? And by loony, I mean absolutely mental; gagging for it - even if one was afforded the opportunity to pick a tiny sequin off from such an uber fabulous dress, I seriously would not be able to control my hormones; I would be like a homebound dog who is allergic to a leash. So eccentric, electrifying; so much more alluring than that guy I used to fancy back in Pre School, and he was hot, on fire, but he didn't send off as much flames as this Balmain beauty - that's for sure.

I can feel the sparks flying between me and this gold embroidered stature of liberty. Every guest of Paris Fashion Week must have been reeling to gate crash the runway and strip the models of their garments. This would be the dream birthday dress; it is a statement piece, and complimentary to any girl. The dress comes as an inspiration for my 19th birthday dress which is just under 4 months away. To wear a dress so elegantly beautiful, but at the same time super sexy and mesmorising is a fairytale brought to life, surely? If someone were to buy me such a beauty, I would love them forever, like seriously; love is not cheap these days, haha.

So Valentines Day was yesterday, I hope you all had a good valentines with your loved ones <3
I thought I would pay homage to the one I love and that is Balmain. The strong shoulder piece is the perfect statement dress. Balmain at this prior moment is an enticing concoction of gold, brocade and faux - fur; all the things I love about life. The autumn/winter collection last year spoke to me in a way that no other designer has had done so before. So as a gift to myself, as a gift to Balmain and as an even bigger gift to you, I have posted a recollection of a few favorite red-carpet Balmain moments.

Check out the stunningly beautiful Zoe Saldana; if her looks and amazing figure were not enough to win her Brownie points, she managed to find a version of herself in Balmain. As someone who always looks gorgeous on the red carpet, who said this time was going to be any different? Huh. She is wearing the deep V black dress. Hello foxy lady...

Pop Princess Taylor Swift looks so divine, so stunning...
The stunning Kate Moss (the dress she is wearing marks the very first moment I fell in love with Balmain)
Jennifer Connelly, I like your dress...

Remembering a fashionable moment(The Elle cover)
And for the moment I bled tears and caught a beehive with my dumb founded and rather startled mouth!
Anne McHathaway gracing the front cover of Elle in the fabulous dress I just spawned over is too beautiful for words.

P.S I Love You

The Bare Necessities

                                                              Faux Sheepskin Gilet

Ahh yes... the good old Faux Sheepskin gilet. Allow me to fathom in a ball of lust as I accept the terms and conditions of this beautiful, beautiful thing; they read: By accepting these terms and conditions, one has the honour of wearing the gilet at her own accord. However, one must promise only to indulge herself in a lifetime of fashion frenzy, to wear the gilet with her heart solely in touch with the fine material of such a lust enduring purchase.

Do you accept these conditions? I say yes to gilet, I say yes to faux sheepskin, and hereby, I accept the terms & conditions of the most enticing, fashion feeble contract to have landed on the world of copyright.

I can only confess a crumb of an incline as to what this beautiful purchase means to me. Top of the range at Mango; this is where my heart lies. I almost shed a tear of happiness as I stood three feet away from the rack it hung on; though I must say, this beauty shun above every other item of clothing in the room...it turned everything else invisible. The hangers which accompanied the gilet became non existent, the clothing rack it swung from disappeared, and as for every other shopper in the room...well...It is very likely they had been blown away by the huff and puff of the Big Bad Wolf... all I could see was the brown, faux sheepskin which currently floats above this text.

I only say this because what seemed to everyone else as another-item-of-clothing, appeared in my eyes as a god, a spirit, so luminescent; floating alone in thin air and coming to forgive me of my sins(that being a frantic shopaholic) and bless me with the birth of a new born gilet. They say there is nothing but a very thin line between love and lust, I may just be that thin line...I Love the gilet and I lust it too.

        Taupe Satchel

As you all probably know, I have wanted a Mulberry bag for about a century or two. In reality, I'm afraid, the only way I am to get my hands on this particular purchase, is to pretend I am not a university student studying for my degree, who quite frankly needs to buffet a worthy bank account. So, after much care, thought and consideration, I decided to put the Mulberry on my wish list for the time being.

So when I visited 'Primarni' (a designer store I am reliant on for hosiery), and saw this beautiful bag, it warmed my heart in the exact same way my first love did. Though my friends say, it has some attributes of a classic Chanel bag (I long for a Chanel bag), all that stays with me is the delusion that I am sporting a £650 bag with the label, 'Mulberry'. I shall keep my wardrobe warm and satisfied as I remain on the waiting list for the real deal.

Gosh Nail Polish: Miss Mole

I absolutely love this nail polish and strongly recommend it. Gosh nail polish does not chip easily and remains its shiny appearance for a long while after being applied. The colour is very subtle on me...somewhat nude. My friends who vary in complexion have also had the privilege of testing the colour out after my banter about how good it is...haha...and it looks very good on them too. The shade is Miss Mole 596; I'm sure you'll love it as much as I do. Gosh is a very reputable brand and their nail varnish has to be one of their specialties; thumbs up.

Maybelline 24Hr Foundation

I must admit that when I first saw this foundation, I was completely put off by the words 'super stay 24Hr'...In my mind, it is not entirely likely that a foundation can hold good coverage for 24 hours. However, it turns out that the foundation works for me. Although it may not appear on the face in the same way it did after 24hrs, it most certainly holds good coverage and sits nicely on my skin. It is very smooth and doesn't feel heavy on my paws either.

I am currently in Southampton, away at Uni; I brought this foundation to substitute for my usual Black-Up Press Powder as they don't stock it in Debenhams (Southampton branch), annoyingly. But, my mum has ordered my Black-Up Press Powder foundation for me and it is now on it's way in the post. :) Until it arrives, I will continue to use this as my substitute, and will probably buy it again as my alternative; highly recommended. I use the Cocoa shade.

Fashion Fair Lip Teaser

I Use the Fashion Fair Lip Teaser in Clear for a more neutral look. It is probably the best lip teaser I have used. It feels very light on the lips and can be used alone for a natural appearance, or applied as a second coat for lipstick. The lip teaser moisturises my lips and keeps them soft and plump throughout the day. I choose the 'Clear' shade so that when I am not wearing the usual bright coloured lipstick, I can go for the more neutral look. 5 stars go to the Fashion Fair Lip Teaser!

So Chic

Top: Zara. Skirt, handbag & belt: Topshop. Tights: John Lewis. Wedges: Dorothy Perkins.

So for some, monday monrnings are miserable days speant drowning ones sorrows in a baggy tracksuit and cardi uggs; (eww) for some it's an excuse to pull a sicky and waste beautiful womanly features in a baggy top which is very much reminicent of a dustbin bag. Where is the spirit ladies? We were put on this earth to show-off our stunning pins and live life as a walking picture(at least I was, haha) so I must admit how upset I feel by the lack of confidence and effort women indulge. Monday mornings are sometimes a pain in the arse for me as well as the world's majority, but who's to say we cannot change these obstructive statistics.

For me, the key way to start the infamous monday is to walk through your door in a statement outfit. Yes my feet were absolutely spawning for a foot massage after a reckless night out with the girls, and no need for the pitter-patter; we all know it's cold outside, but who gives a flying monkey about the cold weather conditions when it comes to fashion. I may well be a crazy lady who would rather Vogue for breakfast than a slap-up English breakfast(ok, you've got a point ha), but i'd rather be the Louboutins of the party than the Sketchers; thats for sure. I wore this outfit to Uni today and will team it with a clutch bag and some killer jewellery for a birthday dinner later on tonight. But please ladies, stop taking the the safe flight and enter the danger zone! I'm not asking you to bungy jump(though it would give you an amazing adrenaline rush), all i'm asking is that you fashion frenzy your wadrobe and take it to the streets!!

A Review on the latest buys

A little rant...I promise a pleasurable read <3

Henry Holland for Pretty Polly Super Suspender Tights

These tights look absolutely amazing on; not a pinch of denial in that respect. However the top of the tights are extremely delicate and so I have managed to ladder 3 pairs in the past week. The problem is they are made for going out...at least I would imagine so. I dream to think of the baffled fool who would wear these as pyjamas and watch a depressing yet touching Titanic movie while ripping away at these beauties for utter pleasure(you'd have to be a complete fashion mop head...lets be honest).

I have worn these to three separate occasions, each time feeling uber fabulous, I just wish they wouldn't rip so easily...at £12 a pair there not exactly cheap are they? So Henry Holland, please warm our hearts with a more adverse and good quality pair so that drunkard nights and bending down to pick up the coin you 'accidently' dropped in front of the gorgeous bloke with the deep blue eyes won't cost you a hot spanking pair of deluxe, burlesque hosieries. Anyway which fashionable lady wants to give up a pair of tights as beautiful as these at the expense of man...huh? I don't hear any takers.

Regardless, I’m sure I’ll be heading to the reliable River Island tomorrow to pick up another two pairs...What can I say, these beauties have damaged my Id and fashion fixed my Ego.

River Island Suede Ankle Boot

As gorgeous and stunning as these suede ankle boots are, they are disastrously painful. I have to admit that I have braved an entire night of clubbing in these heels but woke up with everything from blisters to a mentally broken pair of feet. When I first tried them on in River Island, they were probably excruciatingly painful, but I was too hypnotized by their eloquence and sheer practicality.

An Irish lad served me...maybe that added to my foolish purchase...ha-ha. Ahh that accent could make my heart melt, there he was, standing there...with the left foot in his hand, while I foolishly admired the right foot that was burning off the bear soles of my feet...I must pay him a visit someday....hmm...Sorry back to the fabulous face-value ankle boot placed so guilty above this text.

If ever there was a sentence for 'painful shoes,' I would step up to the jury plate and persuade life imprisonment. I'm sorry River Island, I'm sorry ankle boot, but I want to be able to pull in these. How am I able to bag a hot fella (that's not always my agenda…promise) or dance to dub step with the girlies without a pair of worthy feet. However, when it comes to looking good and fashion, I am usually very apprehensive to go through pain. And that's why, I'll be wearing these River Island beauties to a friends 21st bash tonight...ha-ha. I should be sentenced for hypocrisy (joke...)

Dorothy Perkins Wedges
Unlike my last review, I have nothing bad to say about these s-w-e-e-t DP wedges that sit comfortably above this text. When I first wore them, they were a little painful but that was only because they needed to be worn a little. They are gorgeous and comfortable. You would have seen me wearing these in a few of my previous posts; they are my saviors...gold medal for these my lovelies.

These wonderful wedges (and they really are just wonderful) can be worn casually and you can dress them up for a night out on the town. They are very high too, no less than 4 inches so it's nice to know you can be a supermodel for the day without being reduced to blisters and corns (yuk, I want to puke. But I won't) A Trophy should be given to Dorothy Perkins. Seriously guys, bag your wedges from DP and you will be in the same ravishing predicament as me...Take a little pain for the first day or two and then chant away in the most practical, yet amazing looking, kind wedges...

Until next time my beauties Muah x

A Few Luscious Buys

I love this little number...so cute. I purchased this beauty from Zara and I am dying to wear it. I lured the shops for a pretty and edgy skirt; this skirt right here adornes these two things exceptionally well. I am turned on by the fact this Zara beauty can be either dressed up or dressed down. I'll be sure to leave some heads turning, and if that wasn't enough, I will probably earn centre stage to the envious eyes of female fury.

So when men shop they often know what they want; in most cases they over analyse what they need, (gold stars for them) and will always buy an item in abundance to an outfit they have already planned. In a women's case however, or should I say in my case, I buy items of clothes that I like the look of; so when I noticed this nude, delicate blouse, my ego ordered me to buy it...so I did...so pretty and graceful...I'll be sure to create a catwalk phenomenon with this one.

The little leather hot pants that sit proudly above this text is what we call fierce my lovelies. I brought them to wear on a night out with the girlfriends. Love, love, love them. They fit so well, very fitted. They are leather and they are hot pants, what else does a girl need eh? or in other words, what else does a guy need? they take one look at a girl in these and they fall smack on the floor with an erection.
Leopard, ahhhh...my most sought after pattern in the world. So, the blouse is leopard and elegant, what else do I need to say? Zara, you really do me proud=]

This dress is so me...a pretty chic casual number that can be dressed up with some killer heels. The suede brown belt adds colour and flamboyance to a plain, yet flattering dress like this one. From the moment I laid my eyes on the beauty, I picked it up, put it in my 'keeper' pile and continued to shop.

mmm, gorgeous right? This burlesque number injects colour and vibrance to my already proud wardrobe. It will be worn on a night out where to my dismay, I will have to battle with the drooling mouths of men up in my grill(haha)...it seriously is a beautiful thing. Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, you turn the bralet around, only to find it has a criss cross back design...River Island you never fail to salvage my taste buds.

Skirt, nude blouse, leopard print blouse & dress: Zara. Leather shorts & bralet: River Island.

Until next time my beauties. Muah x

A Touch Of Leopard

Cardigan: Zara. Jumper: Topshop. Scalf & Skirt: H&M.
Tights: New Look. Loafers: River Island

With all the cold weather we've been having, I was not afforded the opportunity to wear anything other than my Faux fur coat. However, as I sailed through the racks at Zara, I came across this very stylish cardigan(It even has armpads, how cool!)and so I had to purchase...how could I not? It's rather warm too so I am able to brave the cold weather in style.

I am a self-confessed leopard lover, anything leopard deserves a home in my closet. I have wanted loafers for ages; sadly, when I went to purchase the ones I had my eye on from the good old Topshop, they smacked me in the face with the offending line: 'Sorry, we are not stocking them at the mo'...Can you imagine the dissapointment?

But,I was about to realise my dissapointment would only last a mere two weeks or so. I was about to learn that Topshop were not the only store which stocked amazing loafers; as I paraded River Island on my Uni lunch break with two of my girlfriends, I immediately noticed these gorgeous Leopord loafers pleasantly on show in the shoe department...Jackpot. I'm finding it hard to imagine wearing any other footwear from now on...It also helps that compared to my 5 inch heels these are like slippers!

Girly Flat

Signing the deal

Its official, my wonderful girlies and I have got us a flat…

So the girls had a house viewing a few days ago; unfortunately I was unable to make it due to work commitments. As devastated as I was, my girlies promised me not to worry my little socks off; there would be another opportunity to see what Southampton pads had to offer us
(phew).

So yesterday, along with the girls, I viewed the flat we had our hearts set on...Yes, even me; though I hadn't actually seen the flat yet, it sounded amazing, and so it was...I fell in love for the first time...A guy with a bow and arrow must of stitched me up or something...what can I say I was smitten (or maybe it was lust...who cares), all I know is it felt fricking fatastic).
We have a cute kitchen (I assume very little cooking will be done anyways; though, we will try), a cute living room and a m-a-s-s-i-v-e bedroom...Yes! There were no picking straws out of a hat, or flipping a coin; we all acted as we should...like responsible adults and close pals. The girls know how much I love my space, they know about my frantic obsession with fashion and my desires to have my room resemble a fashion studio with a massive closet, (something like the closet Big built for Carey in SATC), so they respected my wishes of having the bigger room.  I honestly couldn’t have a better bunch of girls to live with, my girls are great and we have loads in common; we are all journalism students, we love shopping, absolutely mental about fashion and we all fancy shaking a leg or two on a Saturday night, to name a few.
Finally, I no longer have to sleep on a single bed in the stingy rooms Halls of Residence transpired on my first move in. It’s all about a queen size bed, a wall length closet, a blown – up picture of Marilyn Monroe above my bed head and the fabulous dressing table, with a display of Vogue magazines on my side wall and a body – length mirror, exercise bike, manikins with a mock-up of designs from my favourite designers...I could go on forever, but I won’t. Please do come and visit at the prospect of a delightful stay!
